New Zealand’s genre-defying pop visionary Lorde is officially back. After teasing fans with the emotionally raw and sonically expansive new single What Was That, Lorde has now announced a major headline world tour – ULTRASOUND – which includes stops across North America and Europe this autumn and winter, including shows at London’s O2 Arena, Manchester’s AO Arena, and Madison Square Garden for the first time in her career.

The tour supports her highly anticipated new album Virgin, set for release on 27th June 2025 via Universal. Co-produced by Lorde alongside Dan Nigro and Jim-E Stack, Virgin promises a bold new chapter in her artistic evolution, showcasing both personal vulnerability and the lush, atmospheric textures she’s become known for. The lead single What Was That is already being praised for its lyrical intimacy and experimental production, marking the start of an exciting new era.

The Ultrasound Tour kicks off in Austin, Texas on 17th September, and winds its way through iconic venues including Red Rocks, The Kia Forum, MGM Grand Garden Arena, and O2 Arena London, before concluding in Stockholm on 9th December. Each date features specially curated support from some of the most exciting artists in alternative and indie-pop, including Blood Orange, The Japanese House, Nilüfer Yanya, Chanel Beads, Empress Of, Jim-E Stack, and Oklou, depending on the city.

This marks Lorde’s first tour since the Solar Power cycle and her most ambitious headline run to date, taking in arenas and major amphitheatres across continents. Expect a set that spans her entire catalogue – from Royals and Green Light, to new material from Virgin – alongside Lorde’s signature theatrical staging and emotional resonance.

Pre-sale for the Ultrasound tour begins Wednesday 14th May at 10am local time, with general on sale Friday 16th May at 10am local via Lorde’s official website.
