“Harmonies and Heartstrings: Kathryn Williams & Withered Hand’s ‘Willson Williams’ Tour 2024”

Kathryn Williams and Withered Hand are two prominent figures in the indie folk-pop scene, each renowned for their distinct musical styles and lyrical prowess.

Kathryn Williams, often hailed as a “songwriter’s songwriter,” has carved out a distinguished career with her timeless and introspective compositions. With 12 albums under her belt since her debut in 1999, Williams has earned critical acclaim and a loyal fanbase for her rich and honest songwriting, which spans from the Mercury Prize-nominated ‘Little Black Numbers’ to her recent acclaimed work like ‘Night Drives’.

On the other hand, Withered Hand, the brainchild of singer-songwriter Dan Willson, emerged from the late-’90s and early-2000s Edinburgh music scene. With a ragged tenor and lo-fi acoustic sound, Willson has become a fixture in the UK DIY scene. His journey from band life to solo artist has resulted in a distinctive body of work, including albums like ‘Good News’ and ‘How To Love’, acclaimed by critics and fans alike.

Together, Williams and Willson have joined forces for a collaboration album, ‘Willson Williams’, blending their unique musical styles and candid lyricism into a captivating exploration of friendship, grief, and introspection.

Kathryn Williams and Withered Hand are set to embark on a captivating UK headline tour in spring 2024, in support of their forthcoming collaboration album, ‘Willson Williams’. The tour will showcase their distinctive blend of folk instrumentation, sincere lyricism, and heartfelt melodies, promising evenings of poignant storytelling and soulful performances.
