Kelly Jones embarks on a fresh solo endeavour with his latest album, “Inevitable Incredible.” Following the thematic stripped back path of his debut “Only The Names Have Been Changed,” which was captivating and spellbinding first time around. We’re happy to report that Jones has done it again. This time transitioning from guitar to piano-led ballads, the album offers deeply personal and emotive storytelling. After a few listens to the the album, it’s no surprise to learn that the recording process took place at the remote Ocean Sound studio in Norway, the album exudes a sense of intimacy and introspection, capturing the essence of Jones’s raw emotion and vulnerability. It’s sparse and beautiful, evoking images of the ocean, great landscapes, winter seasons and time passing by in slow motion. In a word, cinematic.

We’ll be visiting this place time and time again. It highlights Jones‘ ability to push the boundaries of his craft. With this album and his most recent side project (Far From Saints) it is clear that Kelly Jones has hit a real creative spark of late and reaffirms his position as one of the UK’s most prolific and versatile musicians, leaving a lasting impression on listeners with his soulful storytelling.
