Following the release of their third studio album Heartbeat via One Little Independent Records, internationally renowned cinematic duo AVAWAVES — comprising violinist Anna Phoebe and composer Aisling Brouwer — will embark on a short UK headline tour in June 2025, with dates in London, Brighton, Manchester, and Bristol.

Rooted in emotional depth and sonic storytelling, Heartbeat sees AVAWAVES fuse violin, piano, and synth into a shimmering blend of modern classical, ambient, and electronic music. The album builds on their critically acclaimed soundtrack work and marks a return to the intuitive, collaborative process that shaped their debut. It has already drawn praise for its bold evolution and euphoric textures, with Mary Anne Hobbs (BBC 6Music) calling it “beautiful”, and Elizabeth Alker (BBC Radio 3) praising its “distinctive shimmering sound… so gorgeous”. Wonderland Magazine added that it’s “sure to transport listeners away from the qualms of the real world.”
Speaking about the album, AVAWAVES explained:
“The album is about peeling back all the layers we cloak ourselves in until there is nothing left but the source and discovering the strength that resides there. We wanted this album to feel raw, honest, and intuitive. There are themes of resilience, determination, grit and an optimism in forever chasing the dawn after dark. It’s the bursting of bubbles and realising how much lighter everything feels without them.”
These June performances will offer an intimate opportunity to experience the emotional scope and sonic precision of Heartbeat in person. Known for their immersive, cinematic live shows and a discography that includes scores for Apple TV+’s The Buccaneers and award-winning documentaries like Savage Waters, AVAWAVES continue to be one of the most compelling forces in contemporary instrumental music.
